Get involved in the Bayanihang Pampaaralan! Pick your choice on how to participate in the project.
ENROLL
If your company or organization already has an existing classroom building program, you can enroll this in the Consortium. The achievement and milestones of your organization’s school building program will be documented and included in BP’s count to achieve its 10,000 classrooms target.
GIVE
You may donate to the BP Trust Fund an amount that will be able to cover one or more classrooms or will be included for pooling with other donor funds.
Classroom Package
This package includes a classroom unit, with specifications based on DepEd’s current designs and standards, and a blackboard. Approximately, the package costs PhP 650,000, which may vary per geographic location. Here, donors can choose the site to build the classroom, design and technology to be used, and implementing partners for the project.
Funds for Pooling
Your donations together with the other funds from donors will be combined to build a classroom. Here, the Consortium will be in charge of the selection of area, design and technology, and project implementing partner (PIP). Periodic reporting of accomplishments will be provided to the joint funders of the classroom.
TEN Moves (www.tenmoves.org): The main strategy of TEN Moves! is to look for two million Filipinos who will donate P10 a day for 10 months. This is about P300 per month or P3,000 for the entire 10 months. Two million Filipinos donating P10 a day for 10 months will help raise P6 billion, which is enough to build 10,000 classrooms.
ONE HOUR by Children’s Hour (www.childrenshour.org): Individuals, employees, organizations and corporations may donate at least one hour of their annual earnings once a year, to fund the Bayanihang Pampaaralan project. For employee giving, contributions may be made through salary deduction scheme.
Funds raised through employee giving and cheques should be made payable to Children’s Hour, Incorporated (Project Bayanihang Pampaaralan).
We Can Be Anything (www.wecanbeanything.com): Through the We Can Be Anything campaign, Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.Ap lends his celebrity, music and personal network to rally massive support for key education initiatives, while reinforcing the broader message on the importance of education. We Can Be Anything is an education advocacy campaign, born of a partnership between the Apl.de.Ap Foundation (AdAF) and the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF).
For straight corporate donations, cheques may also be made payable to Philippine Business for Social Progress (Project BP) or League of Corporate Foundations, Inc.
PARTNER
You can help by using the core competencies of your organization in promoting BP. Support us in disseminating information about BP in order to raise funds, and develop, manage, and even monitor ongoing projects.
Awareness Campaign and Fundraising
You may help through giving quadmedia exposure for BP (print, radio, TV, internet), arranging information drives in schools and communities, and becoming a conduit of funds for donors abroad.
Project Development, Management, and Monitoring
Play an active role in the project development. Given the volume of new classrooms to be built, BP will need a number of qualified suppliers and contractors to reach the target. Assistance of local governments and CSOs operating in project sites is essential in facilitating and monitoring the classroom building process.
